After breakfast, starts your full-day game drive with packed lunch. The ecosystem is mainly savannah grassland, with a swamp hosting many elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and a variety of waterfowls. An observation hill gives you a superb overall view of the Park, especially the swamp below, and the elephants. The Park offers magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro and is the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants. As its vegetation is sparse, especially during the long, dry months, it offers some of the best opportunities to see wildlife, which include the African elephant, Cape buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, and a host of birdlife.

After morning breakfast, descend over 600m into the crater with a picnic lunch in order to view wildlife for a half day. After breakfast, leave for a full day game drive with a picnic lunch. One glimpse is enough to explain its appeal; it is typical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, and wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. The ultimate action here is, without doubt, the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration, in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October.
