Where to stay in Lewa Conservancy : Established as a cattle ranch in 1922, Lewa Conservancy has always been managed with wildlife as a top priority and is currently one of the best places to visit ok a Kenya Safari. In 2012, Lewa was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, hosting over 14% of Kenya’s Black Rhino Population and over 12% of the global population of Grevy’s zebra.

Elewana Lewa Safari Camp

Elewana Lewa Safari Camp is located within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lewa Conservancy, with outstanding game viewing from the camp and stunning views of Mt. Kenya to the south and the arid lowlands to the north.

Each tent has a thatched roof, verandah and full en-suite bathroom which is very much in the Lewa Style.

The central area have excellent gardens with sunny verandah and a swimming pool to enjoy during the day and cozy log fires in the lounge and dining room during the chilly evenings.

Lewa Wilderness Camp

Located near the Eastern Marania Valley in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Lewa Wilderness Camp boasts just nine exclusive rooms: six cottages tucked into the hillside overlooking Lewa’s Eastern Marania Valley, plus three garden cottages set amidst their beautiful green lawns.

The camp is tastefully decorated with some of the Craig’s own antique and handmade furniture, giving rustic charm and the character of a ranch homestead. The garden rooms are perfect for families and also those who do not wish to be too far from the main areas.

Lewa House

Located at the very heart of the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, set on top of a hill with extensive views over gentle rolling hills with Mount Kenya, Lewa House is a rustic camp offering unique access to all corners of world renowned  Masai Mara National Reserve.

Also, Lewa House boasts incredible views of the Mathews Range and Ol Olokwe Mountain which can be appreciated from all corners of the camp’s wraparound garden.

Lewa House is ideal for safari-goers seeking to slow down the pace in a relaxed bush environment amidst diverse wilderness backdrops, it will leave you reeling with its abundance of wildlife excursions for you to choose from.

The heart of Lewa House is a large elegant building with a sitting room and open fireplace at one end, while at the other end is a large family dining where the evening meals are served, hosted by Calum and Sophia Macfarlane. There is a large shaded veranda extending away from the main house with a comfortable seating area from which you can enjoy a cool afternoon drink and soak in the very special atmosphere of Lewa House.

There are two styles of accommodation at Lewa House, family cottages and Earthpods which are built along the hillside, all facing the expanse of wilderness to the north.

Sirikoi Lodge

Sirkoi is a small, exquisite, family-owned lodge on the foothills of Mount Kenya in Lewa Conservancy, situated on its own private estate in the centre of the conservancy.

This beautiful lodge is more of an eco-chic African home than a tourist safari lodge and its owners – conservationists – Willie and Sue Roberts have poured their heart and soul into this award winning property, creating a warm and unpretentious atmosphere with a real sense of luxury and high level of service.

Accommodation at Sirikoi Lodge consists of four luxury tented rooms, two bedroom Sirikoi Cottage and large Sirikoi House – which is secluded from the main lodge, which is ideal for families or those guests wanting utter exclusivity.

These luxury tented rooms have been built spaciously and have fantastic views of the waterhole, so you can watch the passing game from your private verandah. Also, your tent has a fireplace and an elegant bathroom, with a huge freestanding Victorian bath and a shower.

The beautifully designed swimming pool is also the perfect spot from which to watch game.

Borana Lodge

Located in the heart of Borana Conservancy at the foot of Mount Kenya, Boarana Lodge is perched atop a rocky hill with panoramic views over the Laikipia Plateau and Mount Kenya.

Accommodation at Borana Lodge – The lodge exudes the charm of a family home, and its natural, rustic and English country style décor is inviting and relaxing. In the communal area, a sparkling horizon pool overlooks a deep valley and guests can enjoy spotting elephants which regularly roam through.

Elewana Kifaru House has 1 family cottage with 2 separate ensuite rooms. The first cottage has two bedrooms – one double and one twin – both en suite, making it ideal for a family booking. The rooms have their own entrance and are not interconnecting.
