Detailed Itinerary of 10 Days Masai Mara Safari and Mombasa Beach Holiday

Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, you will be picked by our company representative – your driver guide and embark on a journey to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve, driving through the Rift Valley where you will enjoy views of the escarpments and Narok town for an interaction with the locals.

Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after check-in, in the afternoon you will go for a game drive exploring the endless savannah plains and enjoy sightings of several animals including the Big 5. At sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Days 2 & 3: Explore Masai Mara National Reserve

You will spend these two days exploring the Maasai Mara – home for the Wildebeest Migration – one of the Wonders of the World and the Big Five – lion, leopard, cape buffaloes, rhinos and elephants. Each year, over 2 million wildebeests and thousands of gazelles and zebras cross from Serengeti plains into Masai Mara to feast on the green pastures, these animals cross the crocodiles infested Mara River where they face off with the fierce crocodiles and predators along the shores.

The Great Migration in Masai Mara is present from July through October.

Masai Mara National Reserve is also home to thousands of animals, including the Big 5 which you will enjoy seeing during the early morning and full-day game drives. You will enjoy spotting lions, leopards, cheetahs, Masai giraffes, impalas, elephants, and over 500 bird species.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park Safari

After breakfast, journey to the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way you will enjoy views of the breathtaking landscape before making your way to the park in the afternoon. On arrival, you will enjoy lunch at your lodge and in the afternoon go for a game drive to see the best of Lake Nakuru National Park.

Lake Nakuru National Park is home to thousands of pink flamingoes and other bird species along the shores of the lake and other water bird species like the cormorants and herons. You will also see animals like zebras, giraffes, lions, antelopes, leopards, and rhinos among others.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park Safari

Wake up for an early breakfast, after which you will embark on a journey to Amboseli National Park—home to large herds of elephants with big tusks and the snow-capped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro – the tallest mountain in Africa.

Arrive in the park in time for lunch, which you enjoy after checking in. In the afternoon you will go for a game drive on which you will see animals like lions, African elephants, and giraffes, among others. You will also enjoy scenic views of the landscape.

Day 6: Tsavo West National Park Safari

Enjoy an early breakfast, and drive to Tsavo West National Park arriving in the afternoon in time for lunch at your lodge.

With hundreds of wildlife animals, you will have an opportunity to spot several animals that inhabit the park including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, mongooses, cheetahs and others. You will also visit the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, which is located within the park and houses black rhinos. One of the best attractions you will visit during the game drive is the Mzima Springs – the springs squeeze out over fifty gallons of water, at sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Journey to Mombasa
